Dermot Kennedy

Irish singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy grew up in Rathcoole, Ireland. At the age of 10 he statred playing the guitar, and at the age of 14 he started to write songs. His career as a street musicial also began at this age. This enabled him to develop his own sound and traveled to several major cities such as Dublin and Boston. In 2018 and 2019 he toured the United States, Australia and Europe to sold-out audiences. In 2018, listeners voted Kennedy for NPR Slingshot's Best New Artist of The Year and appeared on NPR's Music Tiny Desk Concert.

Power Over Me is the first single from his self-titles debut album, which released in 2019. His single Outnumbered will be the successor to 'Power Over Me'. In 2020 he collaborated with the Italian Meduza on the track 'Paradise'. At the beginning of May 2022 he released the single 'Something To Someone'. In the same year he won the RTÉ Choice Music Prize Irish Song of the Year 2021 for his song 'Better Days'.
