*Vlieg Met Me Mee* is a new musical about family, love, and starting over.

When mother, daughter, and granddaughter suddenly live under one roof again, the house is soon overflowing with clashing personalities and old family secrets. As they try to understand each other, the music of Paul de Leeuw seems to perfectly articulate what they themselves do not dare to say.

With Simone Kleinsma, Brigitte Heitzer, Lisa Schol, and others, a script by Lex Passchier (writer of *Oogappels*), and all of Paul de Leeuw’s hits such as ‘Zonder Jou’, ‘k Heb Je Lief’, and ‘Ik Wil Niet Dat Je Liegt’, this promises to be a musical full of recognition, sharp humor, and emotion.

Biography - Vlieg Met Me Mee

In Vlieg Met Me Mee komen drie generaties vrouwen onverwacht weer onder één dak terecht. Wanneer dochter Sanne (Brigitte Heitzer) door omstandigheden bij haar moeder Dorien (Simone Kleinsma) intrekt en ook kleindochter Bibi (Lisa Schol) onder hetzelfde dak belandt, lopen de spanningen al snel op. Door oude irritaties en onuitgesproken gevoelens verandert het huis al snel in een chaotische maar soms ook emotionele snelkookpan. Want hoe goed ken je je familie eigenlijk? Wat deel je met elkaar en wat blijft al jaren onuitgesproken? Terwijl moeder, dochter en kleindochter elkaar proberen te begrijpen, blijken de liedjes van Paul de Leeuw precies te verwoorden wat zij zelf niet durven uitspreken. In een verhaal met humor, scherpe dialogen van Lex Passchier, de schrijver van Oogappels, en regie van Joep Onderdelinden (Foxtrot en De Hospita) wordt oud zeer blootgelegd en ruimte gemaakt voor de toekomst. Een vrolijke en ontroerende musical over loslaten en de moed om opnieuw te beginnen.
