Oscar and the Wolf

Oscar and the Wolf is a Belgian dreampop band. The band’s frontman, Max Colombie, first gained attention through his participation in the pre-selections for Junior Eurosong in 2005. The band started performing in 2010 and released several EPs. In April 2014, they released their debut album Entity. The album went double platinum in Belgium and features well-known singles such as Princes and Strange Entity, both of which were also successful in the Netherlands. In 2022, he had the honour of creating a track for the Belgian national team (the Red Devils) for the 2022 World Cup. Oscar and the Wolf received six nominations at the 2014 MIA Awards, winning Best Breakthrough, Best Album and Alternative. In 2015, they released Back to Black, a cover of Amy Winehouse’s song and a duet with Tsar B, for the film Black. In the summer of 2017, they released their second album Infinity. That same summer, they performed at major festivals including Rock Werchter, Tomorrowland, Down the Rabbit Hole and Lokerse Feesten. This was followed by the Infinity Tour, with shows in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne and Berlin. At the end of 2021, their third studio album The Shimmer was released. The frontman described it as “an EP featuring a collection of more personal songs that kept lingering in his mind after finishing The Shimmer.” After a difficult period in 2022, he released the single Warrior, which quickly achieved gold status.
