Biography - Bouke Scholten

Bouke Scholten, geboren op 25 september 1981 in Emmen, is een Nederlandse zanger die bekendstaat om zijn krachtige stem en zijn indrukwekkende vertolkingen van Elvis Presley. Zijn grote doorbraak kwam in 2009 toen hij het RTL-programma *Waar is Elvis?* won. Daarna volgden successen in shows als *The Winner Takes It All* (2014) en *All Together Now* (2019), waarmee hij zich definitief vestigde als een van de beste Elvis-vertolkers van Nederland. Met zijn ElvisMatters Band won hij in 2023 *The Tribute: Battle of the Bands*, wat leidde tot optredens in een uitverkochte Ziggo Dome.

Bouke nam meerdere albums op, waaronder *Bouke at Sun*, dat hij opnam in de legendarische Sun Studio in Memphis. In 2024 kreeg hij te maken met ernstige gezondheidsproblemen, waaronder een buikvliesontsteking, wat leidde tot een periode van herstel en herbezinning. Sindsdien richt hij zich meer op de balans tussen zijn carrière en privéleven als vader van twee zoons.
