Johnny Marr is a British guitarist, songwriter and singer best known as the co-founder and guitarist of the influential band The Smiths. With his distinctive guitar style and melodic riffs, he played a key role in shaping the band’s sound and inspired generations of musicians across indie, alternative and rock music.
Following the end of The Smiths, Marr built an impressive career as a musician and songwriter. He collaborated with artists and bands such as The The, Electronic, Modest Mouse and The Cribs, establishing himself as one of the most respected guitarists in modern rock.
Since 2013, Johnny Marr has released several acclaimed solo albums, including The Messenger, Call the Comet and Fever Dreams Pts 1–4. On 19 September 2025, he released the live album Look Out Live!, capturing the energy and intensity of his live performances. His shows combine new solo material with iconic songs from his extensive career, delivered with unmistakable guitar work and powerful live energy.
