Italian world star back in the Netherlands for the first time in fifteen years
IO CANTO 2 / YO CANTO 2
The announcement of the IO CANTO / YO CANTO WORLD TOUR 2026/2027 coincides with the news that a new album is on the way, on which she sings her favorite songs of her idols: IO CANTO 2 / YO CANTO 2. This Friday, September 12th, in addition to the start of ticket sales for her concert in the Ziggo Dome, will also see the release of her new single LA MIA STORIA TRA LE DITA. Laura Pausini's eleventh world tour will kick off in March 2026 and will take her via South America, North America and Europe to the Netherlands. On November 24, 2027, she will give a concert at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, where she will perform songs from both IO CANTO 2 / YO CANTO 2 and her best-known songs. Pausini last performed in the Netherlands at AFAS Live in 2012. In her music videos for both Benvenuto and Non ho mai smesso, she used Italian footage of Amsterdam.
Perfect setlist
“Performing is perhaps the most important part of my job,” says Laura Pausini. "The ultimate goal of every release is always the audience. This year I want to visit as many cities as possible and put on a show that completely reflects me. I'm busy finding the right setting, the perfect setlist, and the ideal production to shape this new chapter in my music. It feels like a blessing to have a profession that gives you so much in return. That's why I'm once again dedicating myself completely to my audience. For me, it's not just about tour planning, but about meeting every fan who's there and singing along with me," says the Italian.
Laura Pausini & Robbie Williams
The new single LA MIA STORIA TRA LE DITA will be released in four languages: Italian, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. The song is a rendition of the 1994 Italian classic by Gianluca Grignani and is accompanied by a music video. Earlier this year, she collaborated with Robbie Williams. Their joint song "Desire" is the official anthem for the 2025 FIFA World Cup. The two global stars performed the song during the Club World Cup Final at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey for 82,000 supporters. "Desire" is also used in other FIFA tournaments and will be the FIFA World Cup anthem next year.
Influence
Pausini is a global star who has made fifteen albums, has more than six billion streams, and sold more than seventy-five million CDs worldwide. This makes her the fourth best-selling female artist in Latin music, and the best-selling non-Spanish-language female artist in Latin music. Her 1993 single "La Solitudine" became a global hit that remains immortal more than thirty years later, as evidenced by its annual listing in the Top 2000.
Besides in her home country of Italy, she is also extremely popular in South America. In 2023, she won Person of the Year at the Latin Grammy Awards. It's one of many awards she's received; she was previously the only Italian artist to win a Grammy. She also won several Latin Grammy awards, as well as a Golden Globe, the first Italian song ever to win one. She also received an Oscar nomination for her song "Io sì (Seen)," from the film The Life Ahead. Besides her work as a singer and composer, she is also praised for her advocacy for minority rights.
