Mabel Matiz, born Fatih Karaca in 1985, is a prominent Turkish pop artist and singer-songwriter known for his poetic lyrics, distinctive style, and innovative musical approach. Since the release of his debut album in 2011, Matiz has become one of the most original voices in contemporary Turkish pop music. His stage name, inspired by a novel character and an old Greek slang word meaning "drunk", reflects his philosophical outlook on life. With hits such as Aşk Yok Olmaktır, Zor Değil, and Alaimisema, he has earned widespread acclaim, including the Album of the Year award from Milliyet Sanat. Mabel Matiz has released five studio albums to date and continues to push artistic boundaries, despite recent controversy surrounding his song Perperişan, which has led to legal action by the Turkish government.
