Artiestennaam van de in Zuid-Afrika geboren Michael Lubowitz die in de jaren '60 een aantal hits scoort. 'Doo Wah Diddy Diddy' en 'Mighty Quinn (Quinn The Eskimo)' halen nummer 2 in de Top 40 en 'Ha Ha Said The Clown' nummer 1.
Manfred Mann richt in 1971 een nieuwe band op: Manfred Mann's Earth Band. Hiermee scoort ie een aantal bescheiden hits ('Spirits In The Night' en 'Davy's On The Road Again'). 'Doo Wah Diddy Diddy' wordt eind 1982 gecoverd door de Dolly Dots.
