Mark Roy Luykx studeerde Muziektheater aan het Fontys Conservatorium in Tilburg. Hij behaalde zijn Bachelor als Master of Music, en kreeg hij zanglessen van Edward Hoepelman en Ingrid Zeegers. Daarnaast volbracht hij het eerste jaar van de Meisner Acting Studio van Paul Dekker te Den Bosch.
In de zomer van 2021 maakte hij zijn Oostenrijkse debuut als Tony in West Side Story bij de Seefestspiele Mörbisch. Hiervoor was hij te zien in onder andere Tanz der Vampire als cover Herbert, in Anastasia als cover Dimitri en Gleb in het Palladium Theater te Stuttgart, in de tournee van The War of the Worlds als Parson Nathaniel, in Das Phantom der Oper als cover Monsieur André, Reyer. Ook is Mark Roy tot en maart 2023 te zien als Alex Dillingham in de musical Aspects of Love in Theater Münster, in Duitsland.
In 2023 zal Mark Roy te zien zijn in de rol van Enjolras in de musical Les Misérables.
