Mitski returns to the Netherlands for two shows at AFAS Live
Largest shows in the Netherlands for the American-Japanese indie pop artist
Amsterdam is one of the few cities Mitski will visit during the world tour following the release of her eighth album Nothing’s About to Happen to Me. In addition to Amsterdam, she will also perform in, among others, Singapore, Sydney, Los Angeles and Istanbul. The last time the 35-year-old singer-songwriter performed in the Netherlands was in 2024. At the time, she played two sold-out shows at the Royal Theatre Carré in Amsterdam, which were met with enthusiastic reviews from, among others, NRC and OOR. Her distinctive way of performing, in which she seeks musical variety and creates a unique performance through theatrical elements such as lighting and choreography, results in a one-of-a-kind show every time. At Carré she performed with a seven-piece band. That same band can also be heard on Nothing’s About to Happen to Me, her new album to be released on February 27.
