Pale Waves is an English rock band from Manchester, formed in 2014. Singer and guitarist Heather Baron-Gracie met drummer Ciara Doran while studying at the BIMM Institute in Manchester. Together they founded the band, later joined by guitarist Hugo Silvani and bassist Charlie Wood.
The band broke through in 2017 with the singles There's a Honey and Television Romance, establishing Pale Waves as one of the standout acts in the British indie pop and alternative rock scene. Their music blends infectious guitar-driven pop with influences from 1980s music, pop punk, and synth-pop. Heather Baron-Gracie's deeply personal lyrics often explore themes of love, relationships, and identity.
