Tante Hans pokes around, pairs sound with words, and pries beauty out of the gutter. Cellist Sebastiaan Wiering and poet Hannan van Rooij met at a bingo table; now, they form the creative collective Tante Hans. They take everyday objects, quirky sounds, and striking phrases—driven by a relentless urge to create, create, and create some more.
The performance "I Wanted to Talk to the Dune Grass" is a poetry and music show centered on a journey to the beach. Come nestle yourself into a web of music, text, and imagery—featuring crushed seashells, plenty of rum consumed on a bus, and the hope that the beach might just listen. Hop aboard, get comfortable, and travel along to the coast.
