"Howl’s Moving Castle," "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind," "Spirited Away," and "My Neighbor Totoro" — Hear iconic soundtracks from world-famous animated films by Japan’s greatest creative duo, Hayao Miyazaki and Joe Hisaishi.
Throughout his long career, Hisaishi has written a wide variety of music for film, anime, video games, television, and commercials. He also composed the music for the 1998 Nagano Paralympic Games. His best-known compositions are those for the cult films of Takeshi Kitano and, of course, the animated films of Hayao Miyazaki.
Hisaishi and Miyazaki are a match made in heaven, a union of equally brilliant creators. We will never know for sure: Did Miyazaki's films become brilliant thanks to Hisaishi's music, or was it the other way around?
