Stellae Lying-Down Concert Einaudi Arnhem Concert in the Dome Prison Best of Ludovico Einaudi by Bernd van den Bos
Step inside the impressive Dome Prison in Arnhem and let go of the outside world for a moment.
On Saturday, October 24, this special, monumental location opens its doors for a lying-down concert centering on the music of Ludovico Einaudi. The hushed sounds of the grand piano fill the space and come fully into their own in the unique acoustics of the dome.
Concert pianist Bernd van den Bos performs a selection of Einaudi’s most beloved works. Music that touches you through its simplicity, its repetition, and its spaciousness. Well-known pieces such as Nuvole Bianche, Divenire, and Le Onde slowly take you away from the day and closer to the moment.
As the light softens and the first notes sound, the space changes. The high dome, the distinctive architecture, and the long reverberation create an atmosphere you won't easily experience anywhere else.
Lying on your own mat or air mattress, you experience the music in a different way. Closer. Quieter. Without distractions. As if time slows down for a moment.
A concert where truly nothing is required.
Hans Zimmer and more
Later today there are two more concerts. At 5:00 PM, a cinematic concert where the piano is accompanied by a cello, and at 8:30 PM, as evening falls, the magical combination of Einaudi and Queen.
