The WIZ is de energieke en eigentijdse bewerking van het klassieke verhaal The Wizard of Oz. Deze iconische Broadway-musical, vol soul, funk en gospel, veroverde in de jaren zeventig het publiek met zijn vernieuwende muziek en krachtige boodschap van hoop en zelfvertrouwen.
In de Nederlandse productie van Van Hoorne Studios keert het avontuur terug in een modern jasje, met sprankelende decors, humor en indrukwekkende zangprestaties. Jong en oud worden meegenomen in Dorothy’s kleurrijke reis door Oz, een wereld waar vriendschap en moed de weg wijzen naar huis.
