Waking the Cadaver

Waking the Cadaver is an American extreme metal band from New Jersey, formed in 2006. The group is known for its uncompromising blend of brutal death metal, slam and deathcore, creating a sound they describe as “slamming gore groove.” With their debut album Perverse Recollections of a Necromangler (2007), the band immediately gained attention within the underground metal scene. Later releases such as Beyond Cops, Beyond God (2010), Real-Life Death (2013) and Authority Through Intimidation (2021) cemented their reputation for crushing riffs, brutal vocals and raw, unfiltered energy. After a brief hiatus, the band reformed in 2018 and has continued performing alongside extreme metal acts around the world. Waking the Cadaver is known for intense live shows built around crushing grooves, blast beats and pure aggression.
