Keys of Anatolia, conceived and created by pianist Julia Tavit, is a musical journey through the rich cultural and musical landscape of Anatolia.
Through the piano, Julia Tavit explores the diverse sounds, melodies, and stories that have shaped this ancient land. The program brings together musical traditions from Armenian, Greek, and Turkish regions of Anatolia, creating a rich and captivating musical feast where different cultures meet through sound.
The concert is enriched by the historical narration of Lesar Yurtsever, who brings the stories and cultural heritage of Anatolia closer to the audience. Eleni Mik, with the distinctive voice of the oud, adds the authentic colors and traditional Anatolian timbres to the musical journey.
Piano, oud, and historical storytelling come together to create a dialogue between cultures, generations, and musical traditions. The program moves between the poetic depth of Anatolian melodies and contemporary classical expression, offering a deeply personal artistic interpretation by Julia Tavit.
As part of the concert, three of Julia Tavit's students will also perform adding a young vibrant voice to this special musical journey.
