One of Cuba’s most influential musicians, Eliades Ochoa, is coming to Live At! in 2026. And that’s excellent news for lovers of warm, traditional, yet timeless music. His performances are intimate, captivating, and feel like wandering the streets of Cuba for an evening.
Eliades Ochoa is known and loved worldwide as one of the original members of Buena Vista Social Club. He is the lead singer of their hit song “Chan Chan.” The group spread traditional Cuban music worldwide and united generations of fans for over eighteen years.
Following the success of Buena Vista, Ochoa released nine albums and won four Latin Grammys. In 2023, his album “Guajiro” was released, in which Cuban Johnny Cash returns to the roots of the guajira and country music with original songs. And on Sunday, June 21, 2026, Eliades Ochoa brings his narrative music from Cuba to the Bostheater.
According to Ochoa, there are no distances, languages, or borders in the music he makes. His greatest pride? Ending a performance with a standing ovation, something he credits to his culture. Fancy an evening full of Cuban rhythm and dance? Then we'll see you on Sunday, June 21, 2026, in the Amsterdamse Bos!
