Angeline Morrison is a British singer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who combines traditional folk with contemporary stories. She has been praised by MOJO as one of the voices carrying folk into the future. Her music moves within wyrd folk and psych folk, with an intimate, handmade sound and a strong focus on storytelling.
In her work, Morrison explores themes such as history, heritage and identity, with a particular focus on forgotten voices within the British folk tradition. Her album The Sorrow Songs: Folk Songs of Black British Experience was widely acclaimed and highlights the often invisible Black British history through new and reworked folk songs.
Angeline has performed at venues such as Glastonbury and appeared on Later... with Jools Holland, and is now considered a unique and innovative voice in contemporary folk.
