Biography - Bon Iver

Bon Iver is an American indie folk band. The group's front man is singer-songwriter Justin Vernon. The name Bon Iver is derived from the French phrase 'Bon Hiver', which literally means ''good winter''.

The first album For Emma, Forever Ago is released in 2007 and is produced by the frontman. the debut album was self-released by the band. In 2008 it was more widely distributed by the record label Jagjaguwar (Artists: Dinosaur Jr, Sharon Van Etten). Their arrival in the Netherlands was well received. In 2008 they appeared in Paard van Troje and Paradiso. A year later at Lowlands.

In 2010, Bon Iver collaborated with the rapper Kanye West on the songs 'Lost in the World' and 'Monster' from the brilliant album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
