GePpeto creates its own musical universe at the intersection of cabaret, Americana and cabaret noir, with a subtle French twist and a touch of dark circus. Each song is a little story: sometimes fragile, sometimes sharp, sometimes with a smile that lingers just a little too long.
The debut album (release April 2026) exudes a nocturnal, intimate tension. Songs start softly, get under your skin and dare to break open. The sound is warm and lived-in, with melodies that balance between tenderness and theatrical sharpness.
At the helm is Jarne Debue (vocals, guitar, percussion), who, with his hoarse voice and narrative lyrics, takes the listener on a journey through memories that don't quite seem to be your own. Issa Hellebaut adds colour with the accordion: warm, melancholic and sometimes restless. Florian Cosaert's double bass provides a deep, rattling underlayer that holds everything together.
