Release Festival

Release Festival is a two-day music and experience festival set in the heart of Haspengouw, surrounded by the cherry orchards of Tongeren-Borgloon. What began as an initiative by a dedicated group of volunteers has grown over twenty editions into a much-loved summer festival where music, nature and togetherness take centre stage. With its intimate atmosphere, green surroundings and strong focus on the overall festival experience, Release has become a cherished way to welcome the summer for visitors of all ages.

Release Festival follows its own path by giving emerging and local talent a prominent place alongside established names from the Belgian music scene. The festival brings together a diverse mix of musical genres in a relaxed, family-friendly setting where discovering new artists is just as important as enjoying familiar favourites. Thanks to its intimate scale, passionate volunteers and unique location in Haspengouw, authenticity remains at the heart of every edition. Sustainability also plays a key role, with respect for nature, a limited visitor capacity and a range of environmentally conscious initiatives across the festival site.

Today, Release Festival has become one of Haspengouw's annual summer traditions. Combining live music, DJ sets, a beautiful green festival site and a welcoming community, it continues to offer a place where people come together to discover music, create lasting memories and celebrate the start of summer.
