Canon Influencer, Rutger Geerling, better known by his alias “Rudgr.com” is a Dutch photographer who captures the biggest dance festivals in the world. As chief photographer of Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival, among others, he travels the world in the wake of all the top DJs.
After completing his Masters in Public Administration in 1995, he decided to follow his heart and pursue a career in photography. Extreme winter sports and music became the mainstays of his professional existence as a photographer, but also travel and underwater photography are branches that he regularly practices.
In addition to the many festivals, Rutger also regularly collaborates with DJ greats such as Armin van Buuren, Hardwell and Afrojack. At the end of 2015 his photo book “This Is My Church” was published, which won him the prestigious Pop Media Prize and placed him in the ranks of legendary music photographers Lex van Rossen and Anton Corbijn. “Geerling's work is internationally groundbreaking, and therefore unique in the world,” according to the jury.
As a photographer, Rutger is an influencer for Canon, also the main sponsor of his exhibition. As an influencer, Rutger is also associated with GoPro Netherlands and Victorinox (suitcases) International.
Outside of the dance industry, he also works for National Geographic, Heineken, Bacardi-Martini and Unilever, among others.
