Sherø is the alias of Antwerp-born DJ and producer Stephanie, who has been active on the international electronic music scene for more than three decades. Now based in Berlin, she blends house, rave, breakbeat, Detroit house, Chicago house and new beat into a distinctive sound that combines 1990s influences with a contemporary, energetic and soulful approach. Thanks to her broad musical vision and decades of experience, Sherø has become a respected name in the European underground scene.
After releasing music for many years under the names Stephanie, D'Stephanie and D'Steph, she reinvented herself in 2015 with the SHERØ project. Since then, she has performed at clubs including Berghain/Panorama Bar, Watergate, RSO, Renate, About Blank and Sisyphos, while appearing at festivals such as Whole Festival, Garbicz Festival, Pukkelpop, 10 Days Off and Lokerse Feesten. She is also the founder of the queer record label KlubKid Records, which has supported emerging electronic artists since 2020.
Driven by her passion for old-school house, rave, breakbeat and new beat, Sherø connects different generations of club music. Her energetic DJ sets, eclectic selections and close ties to Berlin's queer club culture have made her a sought-after artist at clubs and festivals across Europe.
