The Solheim Cup is a professional golf tournament between two all-female teams from Europe and the United States. The three-day event is held every two years and has become the most coveted team trophy in professional women's golf.
It is the female counterpart to the Ryder Cup. The 2024 Solheim Cup, held at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia, attracted 115,000 spectators to the course and was broadcast in 190 countries. This makes the Solheim Cup the largest women's golf event in the world, held alternately in the United States and Europe.

The Solheim Cup is the most prestigious international women’s golf team event in the world—and in 2026, it’s coming to the Netherlands for the very first time. From September 11–13, Bernardus Golf in Cromvoirt will host this iconic competition, where the best players from Team Europe and Team USA face off in intense match-play format. Known as the women’s equivalent of the Ryder Cup, the Solheim Cup blends sporting excellence with national pride and emotion. Named after Karsten and Louise Solheim, founders of PING, the event has been held biennially since 1990.
