AN IMMERSIVE AUDIOVISUAL EXPERIENCE AT FABRIQUE DES LUMIÈRES
On Thursday, 19 November 2026, the music of Philip Glass and Joep Beving will be performed during a special Stellae lying-down concert at Fabrique des Lumières.
Pianist Bernd van den Bos and violinist Robert Baba perform live while the Dutch Masters exhibition fills the monumental hall of the former Westergasfabriek with towering works of art.
Lying on your own mat or air mattress, you are surrounded by piano, violin and moving images. Paintings by Vermeer, Rembrandt and Van Gogh, among others, appear on the walls and floor, creating a constantly changing backdrop for the music.
The music of Glass and Beving is characterised by repetition, stillness and slowly changing melodies. During this concert, Bernd van den Bos and Robert Baba bring the music of both composers together with the lines, colours and interplay of light and dark of the Dutch Masters.
