Steve Cop is a Belgian DJ and producer who has been active in the electronic music scene since the late 1980s. Inspired by mixtapes from Sven Van Hees, he discovered his passion for DJing at a young age. His first major performance soon followed alongside Mark Kamins and Poltergeist, after which Renaat Vandepapeliere of R&S Records invited him to work in the studio with C.J. Bolland. It marked the beginning of a career that would take Steve Cop to some of Belgium's most legendary clubs and far beyond.
After a residency at La Rocca, where he played alongside Eric Beysens, Steve Cop became a resident DJ at Café d'Anvers. He also performed at renowned venues including Bocaccio Life, Fuse, Cirao Dance Hall, Exposure, Rex Club in Paris and Cocorico in Rimini, while appearing at events across Ibiza, the Netherlands and South America. Beyond the club scene, he collaborated with fashion designers Walter Van Beirendonck and Dirk Van Saene, providing music for fashion shows in Paris.
Today, Steve Cop remains active behind the decks, delivering carefully crafted sets that blend house, techno and timeless electronic classics. With retro sets, new projects such as The Hipson Brothers and a career spanning more than three decades, he continues to be a familiar name for fans of Belgian club culture and electronic music.
