The Teskey Brothers is an Australian band that mainly plays soul and blues rock. The band's roots are founded in Melbourne and consists of the brothers Teskey, bassist Brendon Love and drummer Liam Gouch. Their sound is strogly associated with soul artists such as Otis Redding and Wilson Pickett. They have been influenced by artists such as Peter Green, The Animals and Percy Sledge and have gained experience as a backing band for singer Ella Thompson.
Celebrating the old school Motown Sound, the boys have received high praise for their debut album Half Mile Harvest. A raw combination of soul and blues warms the hearts of listeners with its melancholic, analogue tones. Written by the band members, the album was recorded in their own home studio. Singer Josh Teskey's smoked whiskey voice on stage exceeds all expectations while the band around him maintains an irresistible groove.
