"I wondered whether death could also be drawn in pencil, so it could still be erased. A death drawn in pencil doesn’t seem like an unnecessary luxury to me, does it? Something like temporarily dead, or temporarily definitively dead? A fleeting drawing, a loose sketch, or perhaps a preliminary design, so one can die even better.”
In this moving yet light-hearted theatre monologue, Sarah Peters takes the audience into a story about letting go, love, memories, and the dreams we win or lose along the way. At its heart is the special friendship between Ivan and Ella, two people who find each other in the vulnerability of life and the inevitability of farewell. With humour, poetry, and sharp observations, the performance explores how we deal with transience and what it means to truly let go.
