Het Sinterklaasfeest voor Iedereen is an inclusive and accessible family event for deaf, hard-of-hearing and hearing children and their families.
The performance is bilingual in Dutch Sign Language and spoken Dutch, with many visual acts, humour, music and interactive moments. This allows all children to follow the story well and actively participate. Sinterklaas and the Pieten create a warm, festive atmosphere together in which every child feels welcome.
In addition to the show, there is time for meeting others, taking photos with Sinterklaas, and the children receive a gift. Through the combination of culture, inclusion and accessibility, the event contributes to mutual understanding between deaf and hearing children.
Het Sinterklaasfeest voor Iedereen shows that traditions can be accessible to everyone – a celebration where no one is excluded and where fun, connection and sign language come together.
